About Contractors All Risk Policy

This policy is specially designed to protect the interest of contractors against the damage to or destruction of plants and equipment such as fork lift trucks, compressors, bulldozers, pile driving devices, drilling machines, etc. which account for a major part of a building contractor's investment. The cover is effective when the insured property is at rest/work, or being dismantled for cleaning/overhauling, or during re-erection following dismantling. Insurance is based on the current replacement value. This policy can be bought only after successful commissioning of the machinery. The policy offers complete cover on partial or total damage to equipment or machinery due to

1. Fire, lightning, water damage, earthquake, flood, storm, tempest, inundation, subsidence, landslide, rockslide
2. Accidental damage such as defective workmanship and material, lack of skill, negligence, malicious act or human error.
3. Collapse, collision, impact.
4. Burglary and theft, terrorism damage
5. Additional custom duty, airfreight and express freight
6. Clearance and removal of debris.
7. Construction of plant and machinery
8. Escalation and extended maintenance
9. Insured's own surrounding property and third party liability
