About Contractor’s plant and machinery Policy

Contractor’s plant and machinery Insurance is designed to protect the interest of civil contractors against the damage to or destruction of various civil engineering projects necessitating their repair or replacement. The policy covers damage/loss to the contractor's construction moveable equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, compressors, excavators, and so on owing to accidents arising out of external dangers. Add-ons are available to extend cover to include:

1. Additional customs duty
2. Airfreight
3. Express freight (excluding air freight), holiday and overtime rates of wages
4. Owner's surrounding property
5. Removal of debris.
6. Third-party liability

The policy can be extended to cover loss or damage to proposer's surrounding property, third- party liability, clearance and removal of debris, and so on.
